Description
The Institution was established in 1953 in the form of Students Hostel as Rashtriya Sahakari Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Ltd. Chalisgaon. This small plant has now grown into a large banyan tree. Now the Institution runs a Senior College, Five Junior Colleges, 25 High Schools, a Girls School, a Primary School, two Ashram Schools, a Blind School, a Residential School, 5 Nurseries (Marathi), a co-operative Consumer’s Store and Five Hostels. Near about 22,000 students have been learning in the various branches of the Institution. The Institution started a Technical School at Rashtriya Vidyalaya, Chalisgaon by taking into consideration the need of, the technical education. In Nanasaheb Y.N. Chavan ARTS, SCIENCE AND COMMERCE COLLEGE, CHALISGAON education is available upto PG degree level.
The college has entered in 26th year in June 2010. In 1986 the Institution started a Degree Course in Computer Science. From this year the College is going to start a Degree Course in Information Technology to which the Govt. and the North Maharashtra University has given the permission
