Description
Khousabung is situated in Samulamlan tehsil and located in Churachandpur District of Manipur.It is One of 326 Villages in Churachandpur Block along with villages like, Sadu Khoiroi, Hengkapkot, N.Chingphei, Mualngat, Bijang Tampak, Khousabung, Heichanglok, Bunglon, Hermontang, Khoirentak, Senpangjang, Laimanai Kabui, K.Geljang, Thumkhuonglok, S.Lonphai, L.Semol, Pangjang, Laimanai Kuki, Langjingmanbi, Kangathei, New Ningthiching, Phungchongjang, Ujungmakhong, P.Gelmolkhunou, Gelmol, Khoirentak, Ngangkhalawai....
Mostly, the inhabitants were GANGTE Tribe.
In decern, it was bring into being by Mr.Hemkhokai Gangte in 1930 and it is 54km far from the state capital imphal and 23km from the main District Churachandpur.
Pleasurably, about 1000+ people live in harmony and diversity.
Obviously, it is situated in Thangting area were Thoibi and Khamba spend their romantic life (source fore father) also it is one of the battle field during world war ll. Like India, the village has neighbouring village, the vicinity village were Harmon, Ningthiching, Nalon, Khoirentak, Phunchongjang and Bunglon.. (once the former President APJ Abdulkalam landed), these shows that the village is guarded by the said neighbouring village also it has been used as one of the trading centre in Thangting area.
Economically, the villagers get there livelihood by planting and selling pineapple (Locally Called Lengthei) to bazar (Market), in every year about 70 to 100 tons were exported to the neighbouring District even to other states.
