Even though the airport is very clean, there are very few places to shop. There are a few souvenir shops, but not a lot of places to eat.

I like this airport so much. The name of this airport is taking from the name of Acenese King in that time. The situation of this airport is not too crowded like other airport in Indonesia. Even, the air traffic of this airport is not too busy, but slow but sure, all of rute slowly opened to make all of the passengers easy do a trip. For your information, thos airport is the only one airport in Indonesia apply sharia law to all flight attendants. Flight attendants from/to this airport must wear like muslimah dress. This is the rule that the government of Aceh Besar make for supporting the sharia law in Aceh.

Bandara kecil, bersih, cukup nyaman untuk menunggu keberangkatan. Taksi rata-rata 90rb+10rb (koperasi) saya pakai grab dr hotel ke bandara 50 rb bisa dibandingkan mahalnya taksi konvensional bandara.

The most amazing thing about this place is that they put Allah's name on the pillars. Nothing much you can find here, no entertainments place nor nice shops and restaurants. Just regular airport

This airport looks like a mosque.
The toilets before checking-in is not so clean and infested with flies.
There are many food outlets here.
The vending machines failed to accept the new Rupiah notes at the moment.
Inside, the airport is very clean with beautiful toilets.
However the a/c is not working well especially around the gates.
There is no free wifi.
Taxi to town is Rp 100,000 per vehicle.
If you walk out about 200m, becak to town is Rp 70,000.
You can request the driver to stop for a few minutes at Siron where a mass grave for 46,000 people can be found.

Quite a small airport. Only offers international flight to Kuala Lumpur at the moment. Immigration port is slow and small in number. Branded shopping sites are rare and close quite early, not so satisfying for late flights.

Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport (Indonesian: Bandar Udara Internasional Sultan Iskandar Muda, Acehnese: Bandar Udara Antar Nanggroë Sultan Iskandar Muda), also called Banda Aceh International Airport (Indonesian: Bandar Udara Internasional Banda Aceh) (IATA: BTJ, ICAO: WITT) is the airport located 13,5 kilometres southeast of the capital of Aceh province, Banda Aceh. It is named after the twelfth sultan of Aceh, Iskandar Muda. This airport was formerly called Blangbintang Airport (Indonesian: Bandara Blangbintang), referred to its location in a subdistrict with same name. This airport is listed as the 23rd busiest airport in Indonesia.
After being hit by a devastating tsunami on 26 December 2004, the airport underwent renovation and a 3000-metre runway for wide-body jet liners was built. On 9 October 2011 the first Boeing 747-400 landed and took off successfully at the airport.[1] This airport can act as a place of refuge in case of natural disasters, such as tsunami. The airport was also used as a staging ground for international emergency aid in response to the tsunami in Aceh.
