Easy to locate, Neat place, Excellent service. Definitely returning.
Awesome people. Was worth it
I had to wait a while but the hair looks good.
My all-time best experience at a salon here in Gh! If you're from abroad looking for a place to get your natural hair or kids hair did...Lol! Then pls look no further! Am always looking for good customer service everywhere I go in Gh because the fact is that most Ghanaian business offer zero customer service! It's always a challenge;the thought is that they are doing you a favor so there's absolutely not effort on their part. Nway....to begin I was late taking my daughter to get her hair loc'd just cause of unnecessary traffic. i sent a mssg to inform & received quick response. I got there Xtra late and got no bad attitude from the workers. They weren't busy at the time so everyone jumped in to get my daughter's hair as fast as possible. She slept during the process but that didn't discourage them. They worked hard and fast to get us out. Unfortunately I didn't have enuff money on me to tip big but I really appreciate all their effort. So glad to have found this gem salon! I will always go back. Place is neat and comfy. The ppl are nice. They've got a variety of products you may be more familiar with if you're from outside. Great job guys!
This location is awesome. I have been doing my own hair for so long that I forgot how amazing other stylists can be. The staff here are polite, friendly, and they do excellent work fast! The customer service is what I came to talk about. Good customer service in this country is rare, but Twist and Lock Salon is by far the best service I have received. I fully recommend this place. Did I mention the prices are reasonable? Just wow. You have a loyal customer.
Great customer service, very good at handling natural hair
Good customer service, well ventilated place.
This place isn't unisex 😂😂. They couldn't get my twists done.
Great experience and ambience- really great stock of natural hair products from the UK and USA
customer friendly. nice and beautiful place to add beauty to your hair.
Every service offered here is carried out to perfection.
Great advocates for natural hair. So am I. Lovely ambience too and stock a wonderful variety of natural hair products to help keep you looking authentically African.
Gets terribly busy on weekends so patience is required. For the price, I can't say much. Women always spend so much on their hair irrespective of where they do it. But I think the cash you spend here is worth the compliments.
They accept electronic payments - cards and mobile money. That's pretty neat, allowing you confidently choose and spend without worrying about how much cash you have at hand.
I'm here every other weekend because my wife and daughter just sparkle each time. I'm a sucker for cornrows...
Neat place. Great service. My daughter was happy. Except the stairs are narrow and not friendly.
I went to the shop close to Danquah Circle this week.
When I came inside the lady "welcoming" me was somehow friendly but did not smile once. I told her that I wanted to get my natural hair washed, blow dried and trimmed. I waited for about 10 minutes until I was called to take a seat. The lady working on my hair didn't really bother to great me nicely. And by that I mean simply asking how I was doing, smiling etc. The basic concept of being friendly to a COSTUMER.
She started to spray water on my hair and used a scissor that are usually being used by simtresses to cut fabric. I have never seen a hairdresser using that kind of scissor. I was also confused why she would cut my hair first instead of washing and blow drying it, which is why I asked her how she generally wanted to proceed. I didn't get a clear answer from her but her colleague working on somebody else's hair said "its the same thing". At this point I just decided to observe her working on my hair...After she washed it she blow dried it and my hair didn't turn out how it was supposed to. It wasn't falling at all. I rather looked like a lion. I have gotten my hair (maybe type 4c) blow dried and trimmed many times and after blow drying and without hot combing it would fall. But not this time. She put my hair in a bun which I am still wearing. I don't think that my tips were correctly trimmed but I will see once I open the bun. Also after washing she just put shea butter in my hair. Everyone who has natural hair knows that using a water based leave-in conditioner is important before sealing it with an oil based product. A hair saloon that is specialized in natural hair should know that. I don't think I would return. However the interior of the saloon was nicely furnished and it looked welcoming. They do have a variety of products for natural hair which is good. Would have loved to get proper service though, since I am paying.
- Great with Locs and styling of natural hair
- Trained hairstylist eager to assist customers.
Beautiful interior, very spacious and comfortable, and the staff know how to deal with natural hair.
Easy to find, too. After the Police Hospital (coming from Morning Star) you take the left turn (rough/untarred road) immediately before Danquah Circle and go down, almost to the end.
Only caution is that prices are a bit high. In my opinion, they should also start doing silkpress (special straightening for natural hair)!
Location: Very accessible and not too busy
Pricing: mid-high ~affordable (at a frequency of twice a month) but you'll be hard pressed to find a more expensive place to get your twists
Staff: friendly, knowledgeable and GENTLE with your hair
Cons: Small, and wait times probably average around 30mins
