Tori and Lara felt like taking the day off, so we've recruited a new vet for the day. What do you reckon...shall we give him a full-time job?! 😍

🎈Dr Tori's niece, Erin, has been heading up our fan club during our birthday celebrations! 🎈Here she is playing with her own vet kit and finetuning her taste in champagne πŸ˜†. I think that last photo may be resurfacing at Erin's 18th....🍾🍾🍾

    Does your pet suffer from:

🐾 itchy skin? 🐾 excessive grooming? 🐾 licking or chewing their paws... 🐾 recurrent ear infections? 🐾 red, weepy eyes?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, your pet could be suffering from an allergy.

Allergic skin disease is a very common condition in dogs. In some cases, the signs are seasonal; often worsening when tree, grass and plant pollen levels start to rise. In other cases, food allergies and intolerances can be the culprit.

Between May and July, Avacta Animal Health are offering discounts on their comprehensive allergy tests. Book an appointment with one of our vets today if you would like to discuss possible allergies in your pet.

So, for those of you who were following yesterday's posts about Zelda, the mystery has been solved...

The xray shows multiple small stones in the bladder - ouch! These would have been causing continual inflammation of the bladder wall and were acting as a nidus for the urinary tract infection.

Zelda was taken to surgery and the stones were removed and sent off for analysis. She has been switched onto a prescription diet which should minimise the chance of stones reforming. Thankfully, our patient is recovering incredibly well and should be back on full form soon!
