Description
Dennis Fairweather has been a sculptor for 30 years, with a constantly evolving collection of abstract forms and wildlife. His collections have been viewed globally, from award winning stands at Chelsea Flower show to shipping pieces to the far corners of the globe. Small picturesque courtyards or stunning gardens showcase and create beautiful focal points with his sculpture.
Whilst wondering around grand gardens, you might often discover an owl peering through the foliage or come across two giant boxing hares on a hilltop. The mix of abstract and realistic designs makes your garden come alive.

The Material
Bronze resin which has been used in sculpture for over 40 years, is made up of bronze powder
mixed with resin and a catalyst to make a solid, durable and frost proof material. The surface patination is skillfully applied, using various chemicals that react with the bronze. Sculptures placed in the garden will dull over time but can be polished back to show their bronze highlights.
The Sculptor
Dennis Fairweather is self taught and began working with clay while running a trout and salmon farm on the west coast of Scotland in the 1970's
After moving to Hertfordshire with his young family, he began working on highly figurative sculptures. The Sculptor Dennis Fairweather in his Studio This grew into a small business partnership, with Dennis making the originals which were then reproduced and sold nationally and internationally.
In the early 1990's, Dennis became much more interested in shape, texture and form and he began to create sculptures that were suitable for the garden.
In 1993, Dennis took these sculptures to the RHS show at Hampton Court Palace garden show , this first contact with the RHS resulted in an invitation to exhibit at the world famous Chelsea Flower Show.
