Description
The Sail Inn is the dream of Emmaline and William Hathaway - a pair of professional sailors who met on tallships sailing through Nova Scotia in 2013.
Struck by the beauty of Cape Breton on a chance visit in 2007, Emma made the investment and it has been a labor of love ever since. Many notable improvements have been thanks to her father Jack, a yankee at heart with a knack for building and tinkering, as well as support from her brother Nate.
The goal is to bring the century-old building up to speed with modern and eco-friendly amenities for total peace of mind on one of the most beautiful (and yet undiscovered) islands on Earth. A work in progress, we invite friends, family, prospective clients and locals to revel in this rebirth of the house and creation of a new place to gather for music, ceremony, sport, art and escape
