POUPÉEMANIA is a family artisanal company specialized in the creation of African dolls. Created in 1989 by Abibou Maré, a burkinabè craftswoman, POUPÉEMANIA offers atypical dolls entirely hand-made.
They are works of art recognizable by their carefully knotted scarves or their frizzy hair, by their shimmering clothing style of proud and fighting African women and men.
These dolls have the particularity of being both utilitarian and decorative (sugar candy holders, event gadgets, corporate gifts, interior decoration, etc.) for the home or the workplace.
POUPÉEMANIA is also dolls sculpted in canvas with a delicate touch of paint that reveals subtle details through a perfect mastery of the material.
These works are made from local materials such as African printed loincloth, Burkina Faso Dan Fani woven loincloth, calabash, moss, wool, beads, salvaged pieces, etc...
It is in its workshop, a warm and enchanting setting located in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) that POUPÉEMANIA's team of experienced professionals creates quality dolls with much appreciated finishes, for the happiness of everyone.
