Description
Sylhet Surma Sixers (the past name of sylhet royals) is a franchise cricket team that plays in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) representing the division of Sylhet, Bangladesh. On 10 January 2012, Walton Group of Bangladesh made the winning bid of $1.06 million for the franchise.
On 2013, Royals sporting club organized Sylhet Royals in BPL 2 seasons. And now Sylhet Sports group has bought franchise from BCB and organising Sylhet Team as a Sylhet Surma Sixers for BPL 5 in 2017. The team is led by Bangladesh national test team captain Mushfiqur Rahim.
