Good for during the day but would not advise using after dark
I've been a member of this bank for over 20+ years. They have continued to bill me monthly for their services for the last 20+ years. I now live overseas and have been trying to change my account type for over a year now to reduce my bank fees. After many emails and a notarized letter with no results, I decided to write a check to my sister who lives in Barbados for the balance. My sister visited the bank with the check, and they advised her that the check cannot be honored due to the account being inactive for a long period. Solution. The owner needs to come in person to the bank to verify ownership of the account. So I must take a flight to Barbados to withdraw funds. In the meantime Scotiabank will continue to charge me monthly fees for my "inactive" account.
