I like the fact that the supermarket opens early and the prices on many things are good. I like the convenience of shopping there, especially if you have heavy stuff, because the bus stop is close by,with easy access to transportation. If you don't have your own.

Prices are really affordable, exciting promotions, brand selection is good and available parking is quite convenient! Only drawback I'd say is the long lines to cash out but I guess that is to be expected being so popular but I'd say it's worth the wait for your end of month big shopping.

One of the best places to get cheap groceries.
Tip: Make sure to be aware of the expiration date on products though, as you shop because some goods are sold incredibly cheaper when noted they'll be expiring soon.
So, do not overbuy to stock for months.

I've been shopping here for a while now and it's one of the most reasonable places to shop with prices you can afford. Although the lines might be long sometimes I find the waiting time is not too long because most of the cashiers are at their registers making it easier for patrons to get out quickly.

At the time (11:45 - 12:30) of my visit, it was moderate with shoppers; people were moving in and out of the store relatively fast and the staff was "on the ball", which makes my experience a pleasant one at the time.

Too many employees on hand for such a slow service. The front end is young and needs to produce speed/efficiency. Management should know by now how to manage customer service and erase negative attitudes of employees. Too many people shop there to provide a second class service.

The visit took longer than expected and then again this was Monday... the lines moved so slow... As for Popular the prices are always good can't really go wrong there.

Popular Discounts was exactly as expected. My only delay was the wait for the meat. I'm wondering if a better system cannot be implemented. The check out was remarkably fast. And the prices are still the best and their is good variety! I'll keep going back!

Small aisles too cramped . Some.products are not consistently there.
Good pricing probably the best around. Only Cherish can compete.
Should look at the possibility of an emergency only two exits and they are very small for the size supermarket and again the tight aisle and also by cashier

Though I live in St. James, I have no qualms about making the drive to Kendall hill. Every one is helpful as I have experienced while shopping, from the guards to the supervisors.

I'm glad to have the option to travel up there and shop in comfort.

Prices are pretty reasonable. They can do more to improve on their variety and presentation of ground provisions, fruits and vegetables. The supervisory staff are pretty helpful when you enquire about an Item not on the shelf; have always checked the warehouse to verify if my particular item was in stock and at times have furnished me with it from the stock room.

What it lacks in parking space and supermarket space it makes up for in good food at affordable prices that is what keeps me coming back. The staff is friendly and you are always sure to ge the best cuts from the meat room.

The prices are very economical on 90% - 95% of the items there. At peak times parking or finding a trolley could be a challenge. Some checkout lines move faster than others. I find it best to shop with a partner and let them shop with a basket or trolley and intermittently bring items to the trolley that I am holding inaa checkout line that i joined early (as soon as I enter) or vice versa... This is holding a spot essentially and reduces overall shopping time.

Today I'm the post Xmas and pre New Year rush it was rather quiet, staff as always manage to keep their composure whether crowded or scarce. You attend here when you want quality items for realistic budgets. Those who want to be thought of as posh will go elsewhere but Popular remains justified in it's name as the place to find reasonable bargains!

The prices of items are reasonable..... There are regular specials....I'm able to go to the window inside to purchase the different meats I need (the variety is very extensive.)

Very reasonable prices compared to other local supermarkets. Queues tend to be long. The new Kendal branch equals in quality to the other larger more upscale supermarkets. Queues here are a lot lighter. Fresh items such as fruits and vegetables are typically of premium quality because of a fast turnover rate.
