I like the ambience I also had a balcony view of the ocean which was beautiful it also had a kitchenette so you can do your own cooking which I think was pretty cool.

Well.... Internet access at rooms is really bad, so, if you need to get connected you have to work from the lobby. In the bathroom, the space for the wc is so small.... No blackout curtains. Breakfast starts at 8 am... Good things: on the beach

We stayed in a self catering appointment. Very clean . All catered for in the kitchen . Daily cleaning . Lovely pool and smack bang on the sea front !!! . Close to lovely restaurants and bars and taxi service spot on if you want to tour the beautiful island . In fact we are hoping to visit again this year .✈️✈️

Loved this cozy, mini apartment style room, beach front hotel. This was our first trip as a couple and we enjoyed the facility.

Nice friendly staff. The hotel has daily cleaning of rooms. The main building surrounds a midsized pool with a small restaurant and bar, which I was unable to visit due to time constraints. The hotel sits on the beach, but there is no sand between the sea and the hotel, this area is backfield with rocks and rough waves...The public beach is located through a private gate to the left of the sundeck.

The top floor rooms offer more privacy but the ground floor ones allow u to leave your balcony and dive straight into the pool a mere 30 feet away, almost making u feel that you are at your own private villa. No deed for pool chairs either as u can sit in your balcony after a swim and leave the chairs for guests from the upper rooms.

If you are from St Lucia, You do get culture shock when u arrive at Dover beach and parts of the West Coast. To many beautifully built hotels have huge abandoned and dilapidated buildings in front them and few have nice garden areas.. Dover Beach Hotel has car parking, and you feel safe there as the property has round the clock security and limited entrances.

It's not a 4 or 5 star hotel, so don't expect that. But you do get value for money in relation to hotel prices in Barbados. If u intend to stay there try to include a Tuesday nite to enjoy the free managers rum punch party, where u can mingle with staff and guest. If u like to mingle that is.

Rooms are very cozy and views from the rooms are great.
The one restaurant has is very good small menu with simple meals and the food is quite delicious.
Do the gym downstairs is small and everything you need for a nice guy workout.
This hotel is for anyone looking for somewhere low key quiet and just want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Loved the quiet and friendly atmosphere. Large airy room, food was nothing special but I didn't eat there much. Facilities in the hotel included a spa, launderette and great concierge.
I enjoyed my stay enough to book again for next year.

We stayed at this lovely, friendly, hotel recently and we were very pleased with the friendly, family atmosphere of the place. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They always greeted us every morning and it was pleasure to stay here. Whilst there are certainly more luxurious hotels nearby, with the matching price tag, this little gem offered much more than a convenient base. Hotel is situated right on the beach, with a great sun terrace and pool if you dont wish to go on the beach. There is a bar which you can get refreshments and meals from, but locally there are many restaurants to choose from. Hotel is situated at the quiet end of St Lawrence Gap with the bars and restaurants of the Gap within walking distance should you require this. The hotel is in a great location to visit several beautiful beaches in the area and the buses are regular. The rooms are spacious with plenty of strorage space, and are exceptionally clean. Towels are provided daily along with beach towels.

Staff is really friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the pool view is the best. However there was extremely poor WiFi in the room. Barely stayed connected, if it did connect.

We are checking out today after a 2 week stay, location perfect, staff friendly, room a little outdated but clean & comfortable, mini fridge, cups & kettle, tin opener, massive comfy bed, air con. So near to the beach its unreal!! We will without doubt return to this quiet little gem.

Clarify you're choice prior to arrival as there are three accommodations, our aircon wasn't working and it was 30 degrees, yes that's what we came for but initially the hotel were not phased, the fridge was in a state of disrepair until BA intervened then these issues were resolved. There are no basics such as tea or coffee in the room. The sea is quite choppy and during our stay (May 2016) the red flags on the beach were used every day. I consider $11BD a bit excessive for two diet cokes mainly made with ice! If the bar prices were more sensible we would have spent a lot more at the hotel. The room safe was charged at $3USD pet day, too much, again if it was priced sensibly we would have bought. The tours rep wasn't interactive if she had we would have bought instead we sought our own activities. There is no real interaction from the hotel staff, this could be cultural but when dealing with UK & USA holiday makers the staff should make an effort, could even reap rewards! The gardener needs to consider H&S, we were on our balcony when he decided to prune a tree resulting in a branch hitting my wife while we ate breakfast on our third floor balcony. The welcoming evening was not promoted very well and needs addressing to improve customer relations and enhance the hotels potential. The DJ desperately needs a new speaker as the one he uses can't handle most frequencies resulting in painful listening. The TV in our room had poor reception was CRT and somewhat dated. The Wifi is lacking bandwidth and could do with improving as there is no activities that can be participated in during the evenings. There was no communal TV for sports events, Cricket, Rugby, Football etc. The cleaners were great and very fastidious in their duties, the linen and towels were changed daily and very welcome. The land crabs were entertaining to us and a bit of a novelty. Some areas of the hotel could do with tidying up and a lick of paint applied, all in all the hotel could do with a pro-actice and mildly aggressive marketing and selling strategy to help itself and it's guests, there however is nothing wrong with the genuine and sincere attitude of the members of staff.

ive stayed at this hotel with my family reunion since 1994 apparently but ive only remembered staying here in 2006 and 2010 and i loved it. right on the beach, you hop out of the beach and right into the pool. my only suggestion is the drinks could be a little stronger ;) and if the menu could have more of a selection. we're american but we still got tired of hamburgers and french fries for 2 weeks lol....
