Have to wait ridiculous times with workers taking constant breaks and starting work when they feel like
The license collection area has significantly reduced its processing time. This was a notable experience... At least for my visit
Everybody working their lacking in manners behave as though they were raised by animals. If not for being charged for not holding a valid license I would drive without one. Worst of the worst. And don't waste time calling neither for help cause you will never get and answer. Pack of freaks does work in there. Have no sympathy for any of them
Arrived at 9:25 to renew license and get a new drivers plastic card and got through at 10:27. It was at #563 when I arrived and I had #580 then proceeded to card area. Overall you know you have to wait so patience is needed. The cashiers were working fast today
It seems like they readily help yt people and give them special treatment let them cut corners but give other people all the red tape. From my observation of being there for 4 days just to “expletive” register a vehicle. This process is ridiculous. I should never have to be there 4 full days just to get my vehicle on the road. Pulling a number at 7:15am after showing up waiting at 6:15am to be told at 2 pm that the registration is closed for the day. Why say till 3 pm then? Barbados needs to do better with business. Also what is it I’m paying the money for? To destroy my vehicle with the roads that have more potholes than road? Or am
I paying to drive in darkness on most highways either because the government won’t put lights there or because they won’t replace bulbs. I’m ashamed to call this my home.
I previously reviewed and gave one star, this update is better bc got through on first attempt. The member of staff answered my queries pleasantly and efficiently. Keep this up to get better reviews MTW.....
The people are very nice but frankly the place is a shambles. I would give zero stars if possible. It is apparently the only place you can get a resident driving licence on the island and the queues at the cashier's are very long and slow. Why not allow the Oistins etc. to issue resident driving licences? In my experience (three visits) the wait has never been less than 30 minutes. Last time the paying queue had at least 20+ people in it and snaked all the way back to the door. Regrettably this does not seem to be a problem and there is no desire or attempt to improve on the service. I suspect they don't even monitor the level of service they are providing. Simple things like allowing you to pay by cheque at the point were you apply for your licence would speed things up (not much security risk with a cheque). Everything is hand written in ledgers which is quaint but frankly why are they bothering? Are they really going to manually go through these ledgers at a later date to find your address? Infuriating since it is stuck in the past and could so easily and quickly be improved.
So far it is minutes heading towards 8:30 am and no sign of movement after stating an 8:15 am start. Where a day time is important as I am traveling this is very poor so far...
Long wait times to get anything at all done!
There were two delays in the process of having a post has to licensee's replated. Their website that it has all that it to firsts section that'd mean a deals with licenses and permits was lacking manpower. The second was the cashier section which had the same problem with long lines. The cameras not functional at the other locations is adding to the problem. There is also a need for customer services rep to check documents and answer queries.
