  Bodie is a great teacher and a fountain of knowledge and got me surfing on my first time. The lesson starts on land for beginners where he will make sure that your technique is adequate. Then you hit the waves with the assistance of his team who will choose the right wave and give you a little push to maximise your chances of getting going. Also get cool videos of you doing it. Would thoroughly recommend this experience.

  I am a first time surfer that was on vacation with my boyfriend that does surf. We were referred to Bodie by a tour guide and we are so happy we went with him! I was apart of a group lesson with three young children and 4 other adults.. I had a VERY hard time getting the concept of surfing and wasn’t too sure I’d ever get up to ride the way but Bodie was so patient and persistent he didn’t give up until I did. I HIGHLY recommend him for any age and skill level. He’s awesome!

  Bodie's Surf School is hands down the best of the best! You will find yourself riding waves with confidence on your first day! His clear, uplifting and patient attitude that he brings to each lesson will have you feeling on cloud nine as you surf Barbados crystal clear waters complete with friendly sea turtles popping up to say hello! Bodie makes sure that you are feeling confident on land with proper techniques on the board and water safety instructions before entering the water. He goes the extra mile with go-pros on each board so you can improve your technique each session paired with helpful and patient instruction on each wave that he spends one on one in the water. Following your lesson you Bodie will suggest local restaurants, hangouts and even take you for some Roti, a local favorite. In mango season he has a bag of fresh mangos from his tree for all his students to enjoy after their lesson. I 100% recommend Bodies surf school to anyone I meet heading to Barbados!

  If you are looking for a local experience and top surfing instruction Bodie is your guy! I was new to Barbados and I was suggested through word of mouth that Bodie would be the best fit for me. He is outgoing and friendly with a strong passion for surfing and teaching! I had a lesson from a Pro-Surfer before coming to Barbados and I learnt more in 5 mins with Bodie then I did in a full day with the Pro. I was up on my first wave and for the next 3 months I not only exceeded my goals in surfing but feel confident to go out to new surf breaks and challenge myself with confidence! Bodie's style was perfect for what I needed. He encourages you to get out of your comfort zone in a way that still makes you feel safe as you challenge yourself to exceed in your goals. His clear, passionate and patient vibes helped me to love surfing more then I could have ever imagined and I will forever be grateful to him for helping me to accomplish this dream of becoming a surfer.

  Great teacher - got us up & riding waves in one session & then practising turns the next.
  
  As a bonus we got loads of Go-Pro footage to see where we were going wrong & great photos of us riding waves.
  
  Such good fun, would definitely recommend.
