At Hamar Weyne, we’re all about delicious, traditional Somali food, cooked to our traditional family recipes. After arriving in Australia in 1998, our family started serving food to the emerging Somali community in our area. Word spread, and we found people travelling across Melbourne to eat at our restaurant.
It has continued to grow and these days, as well as offering dine in and takeaway meals, we cater for special functions and events.
Our food is 100% halal, and is cooked using the freshest, quality ingredients.
Not sure what to expect? Prepare yourself for tender, succulent meat cooked in a delicious blend of spices. Fragrant rice and a combination of fresh and cooked vegetables complete the meal.
Sweet spiced tea and coffee are also available, along with a range of sweet and savoury snacks and treats.
