The Social Security Board is pleased to support the Anguilla Community College in its offering of the CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership, because of its potential to impact management and leadership practice on the island in both the public and private sectors. Education is a critical component of social development, and as such it is one of the areas of focus for the Social Security Board’s grant funding of socially desirable national impact projects. The... support of the CMI programme is reflective of a key stakeholder perspective of the Board’s transformational strategic plan, that is to enhance value to our citizens and communities through education and empowerment. It also aligns with the SSB’s Mission which is, to transform the quality of life in Anguilla by providing meaningful social security, community empowerment and national development. The Social Security Board is hopeful that persons will take advantage of CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership offered through the Anguilla Community College. #SSBCommunityEmpowerment #SSBSupportsEducation #SSBPartnershipWithACC #EmpowermentThroughEducation

Today, staff at the SSB gathered in the office and bestowed congratulatory and happy retirement wishes upon their long-serving co-worker, Ms. Donna ’Sadie’ Gumbs, as the curtains close on her last day at work as an employee of the SSB and she goes on pre-retirement vacation. Though the atmosphere was one of enjoyment, much laughter and the serving of refreshments, it was also a bittersweet moment for some members of staff. Ms. Donna Gumbs served as an employee at the SSB for... the past 36 years. She was a colleague to some and a very close friend to others.

Ms. Gumbs, while you will be missed by all of us at the SSB, you certainly deserve your retirement. Your hard work and diligence have greatly benefited the organization, and it is hoped that the remaining employees here will strive to follow your stellar example. It has always been a pleasure to work with you. So, while we are saddened to see you go, we are confident that you will find the same success and happiness in retirement that you experienced during your time as an employee at the SSB. We wish you the best in your future endeavours. Retirement will surely offer you many new opportunities, which we know you will embrace wholeheartedly, just as you did here at the SSB.

Please keep in touch, and do pay us a visit from time to time. We hope you have a fun and fruitful retirement! Happy retirement! #HappyRetirement #Donna #CongratulationsOnYourRetirement #EnjoyYourRetirement #socialsecurityboard

    Message of Condolence

It is with great sadness that the Social Security Board learned of the untimely passing of Mr. Wycliffe Richardson. The Directors, Management and Staff, join with all of Anguilla in mourning the departure of a veteran journalist and media person. Anguilla has lost a media stalwart who showed the skills of good communication and great determination. Two words sum him up; passion and perfection—traits he showed in all he did. He was passionate about what ...he did, very meticulous, had a great eye for detail and was the ultimate perfectionist. As we mourn the loss of Wycliffe Richardson, we also celebrate the life of a son of the soil who devoted his life to the field of broadcast journalism. He shall be missed for his contribution, and though his passing has left a void, he leaves behind a foundation for others to build upon. The Board takes this opportunity to extend its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the late Wycliffe Richardson at this difficult time. May God give you the comfort and peace that you seek and may the soul of your loved one rest in peace.
